Quote of the Day

Today's: "See? Even my Snapple juice wants me to exercise." -Megan

Yesterday's: "Can we go back to being intelligent, slacker bitches? Because being a young, motivated lady is so not working for me." -me and megan. We've started finishing each others sentences...Don't judge me.

To the Window! To the Wall!

I e-mailed one of my old co-workers at dhs, and asked her for a few favors like:

1. Tape Lisa's stapler to the pole behind her desk. She will think Kim did it.

2. When Ivan is in his office, go in, fart, and shut the door behind you on your way out. You don't have to say a word, he'll know soon enough.

3. Put tape on your back.

4. Steal all of Melina's writing utinsels and staples.

5. Tape Jodi's mouse to her mousepad.

She declined.

This is bad news for Megan because we are the only ones in the office today. And if someone else is not willing to do these things somewhere, I must do them. The only real problem is that Meg and I share an office. Request #2 should be interesting.

I beg your pardon?

So Daisy, the Chinese foreign exchange student that lived with us last year, recently got a facebook page. She is always posting new things, but our family has no idea what they say.
On her most recent post, my dad leaves the comment "chee chang whow mang mee. ok. i tried."
I think this is hilarious. Dont judge me.

Livin in a Gangsta's Paradise

So I just got done eating at Chili's. There's a slight jiggle in my wiggle, and I don't mean in a good way. Damn Sherman.

Anyways, I've been obsessed with old movies lately. I now own:
-An Affair to Remember
-His Girl Friday
-Woman of the Year
-Adam's Rib
-Bringing up Baby
-The Philadelphia Story
-A Farewell to Arms
-The Road to Rio
-The Road to Bali
-Charade
-the Doris Day/ Rock Hudson collection

and I've been on a TCM kick. It's Ginger Rogers month on the movie channel, so they've been showing a lot of her movies with Fred Astaire.

In other news, I had my first day of substitute teaching this past week. How...interesting. I had one kid tell me I was his favorite sub, but that was before I yelled at the class. No wonder teachers want summers off. It wasn't a horrible experience and I'll do it again, but I was just as relieved as the kid were when that last bell rang.

Thug Lyfe.

Good News:

> Kix gets to come home tomorrow! I've been visiting him at the vet's and he looks like he feels a lot better. I think he may be happier with 3 legs than 4.

> Gracie gets fixed tomorrow. No more pimpin out pups.

> Sunday, Jenny, Meg, and I went to watch the orchestra in Norman. It rocked. Then we went to Barnes and Noble to have coffee and browse the books. Meg and I bought Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to start our unofficial book club. We want to read things neither of us have read before. I think Brothers Grimm may be next, but that's as far as we thought it through. Suggestions?

> Yesterday, I had wine night with Jill and Mikie. Always fun.

> Friday, I'm going to Southeastern to watch Grease. I am especially excited about this b/c I've learned how to play the intro to Summer Nights.

> Saturday is Meg's birthday. We will be celebrating at Club Rodeo. Every time I go there, I want to pretend it's Halloween and wear boots and...uh, really country things (I'm at a loss for what cowgirls wear...plaid shirts?).

> I found out that Hope is coming back to Ada for a visit soon.

> I am the official owner of Zombieland. And AI comes on tonight.
